Restorative Dentistry:

Bonded Fillings

Tooth bonding is a conservative way to restore damaged teeth. Bonding is a process in which a tooth-colored composite resin is applied to a tooth and hardened with the aid of a special high-intensity light. Besides the obvious cosmetic benefits, a bonded filling requires less removal of tooth structure compared to an amalgam, or silver/mercury filling. When placed in the correct clinical situation, a bonded filling can be a long-lasting option.

Crowns & Bridges

A crown is a restoration that covers, or “caps,” a tooth to restore it to its optimal shape and size, strengthening and improving its appearance. A bridge consists of two or more crowns that are linked together.

Crowns are necessary when a tooth is broken down and where a filling is not an option. If a tooth is cracked, a crown holds the tooth together so the damage does not get worse. Crowns are also used to cover badly shaped or discolored teeth.

Inlays / Onlays

Inlays and Onlays are similar to composite bonded fillings except, like a crown, they are made in the dental laboratory. They are even stronger and longer lasting than ordinary fillings, and are more conservative of tooth structure than a crown.

Implants

A dental implant is an artificial root that is anchored into the jaw to replace a tooth. The benefit of using an implant is that it doesn’t rely on neighboring teeth for support and it is permanent and stable.

Implants are a good solution for tooth loss because they look and feel like natural teeth. We routinely restore implants to replace single teeth, make implant supported bridges to replace multiple teeth, and use implants to anchor loose dentures so that our patients can throw their denture adhesive away!

Dentures

We are experienced in making full dentures (where no teeth are left), partial dentures (where some teeth are left) and overdentures (where only the roots are left). We have laboratory-grade equipment on premises and can also provide same-day emergency denture repairs.
